At Bellevue Bone and Joint Physicians, our physical therapists are filled with invaluable skills and passion to help patients in need.
Today, we’d like to highlight one of physical therapists who has proven to be such a great asset to our team:
Clyde Johnson completed his physical therapy training at Eastern Washington University in 1991. He has had the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings that include VA Hospitals, the University of Washington, and private outpatient sports therapy clinics.
Clyde attained his hand therapy certification in 2000. Since then he has continued to advance his clinical skills by having the opportunity to work with Dr. Tom Trumble, a leader in the field of hand surgery. He continues to improve his knowledge and skills by attending advanced hand training seminars and with regular review of current peer-reviewed literature.
Clyde is actively involved in the education of peers and physical therapy students. He has served as guest faculty for educational courses sponsored by the University of Washington and now with Dr. Trumble and BBJP on the Eastside. Course topics include treatment of chronic pain, hand and upper extremity injuries, arthritis, and sports injuries. In addition to lecture opportunities, he coauthored a chapter on hand therapy and acts as a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association.
In addition to spending time with his wife and three children, Clyde enjoys skiing, cooking, and home improvement projects.
